Elizabeth A. Beninato is licensed in Nebraska. Elizabeth previously worked as a criminal prosecuting attorney for more than 16 years specializing in the prosecution of sexual and physical abuse involving women and children, human trafficking, and homicide cases occurring in the Omaha Metro area. With extensive courtroom experience, including the litigation of more than 130 jury trials involving both medical negligence and criminal cases, Beth is a true trial attorney who is comfortable and confident in a courtroom.

Over the course of her legal career, Elizabeth has presented to other professionals on legal topics involving medical malpractice, the Nebraska rules of evidence, trial practice techniques and litigation; criminal law and procedure; sexual abuse and human trafficking; abusive head trauma; and expert testimony at the local, state, and national levels. She has appeared on Dateline, was formally a member of the Attorney General’s Human Trafficking Task Force Advisory Council and was recently nominated by her legal peers as a member of the Nebraska State Bar Foundation’s Class of Fellows to be honored in 2024.

At Watson & Carroll, Elizabeth is one of our lead medical malpractice trial attorneys.

Beyond the Law Office

Elizabeth loves to spend time with her family, which usually includes enjoying the outdoors, biking, hiking, and staying active. As a former marathoner and triathlete, who completed both the New York City and San Diego marathons, Elizabeth loves to spend time sharing her love of running and triathlon with her own daughter and other youth. She is a member of the Ironhawk Juniors Youth Triathlon Club Board of Directors and serves as a volunteer youth triathlon coach mentoring and coaching young girls in the sport. She is also a certified USA Swimming Official. These days, Elizabeth’s biggest goal is trying to keep up with her own daughter; a goal she has yet to achieve!
