A native Iowan, Laura graduated from Drake University Law School in 2012 with a certificate in dispute resolution. She earned her bachelor of arts degree in law, politics and society, with minors in psychology and environmental policy.
Immediately following law school, Laura worked for the State of Iowa, representing agencies for labor disputes in arbitrations. Laura went on to work for a personal injury law firm representing plaintiffs. During this time, Laura won a case with a unique theory of law that no other plaintiff had won. She also developed an interest in medicine and how plaintiffs are impacted when they are injured and disabled.
Laura found she wanted to develop her interest and went on to work for both a medical malpractice defense firm and medical malpractice insurance company. She brings a unique perspective to bring to clients’ cases because she is able to anticipate what the defense and insurance company may argue and ensure our clients’ stories are heard.
After work, Laura sheds her suit and opts for jeans and cowboy boots to work with her horses. Laura breeds and shows American Paint Horses.
